STEP 1:
Gather all of your materials and tools together.
|
|
STEP 2:
String accent glas beads and focal in an attractive pattern on to about 5" of your wire. |
|
STEP 3:
Make a wrapped loop on the bottom. |
|
STEP 4:
Complete a wrapped loop on the top, trim excess wire and set pendant aside. |
|
STEP 5:
Measure and cut a length of leather cord from 12" to 16" depending how long or short you would like your necklace. |
|
STEP 6:
On your string wire, string a silver crimp bead, and then enough seed beads to cover a loop going through your button. |
|
STEP 7:
String the remaining sir tail through the crimp bead, and tighten up the loop through the button, but leave enough play so the button is not stiff. Crimp the crimp bead.
|
|
STEP 8:
Now, plan on having enough glass and/or metal spacer and accent beads to string about a 12" section of stringing wire.
I used a pattern of 4 small glass barrels, one silver accent bead, 4 glass spacers, one green lampwork accent, 4 glas spacers, one black lampwork accent, 2 glass spacers, one shell pendant attached with a jumpring, 2 glas spacres, 1 black lampwork accent, 4 glass spacers, and then the pendant. repeat the pattern in reverse on the other side of the pendant.

|
STEP 9:
Now, your string wire should be filled with about a 1 1/2" - 2" tail.
|
| STEP 10:
String a silver crimp bead, and enough seed beads to make a loop on the end. Feed the tail through the crimp and several beads, crimp and trim excess. |
| STEP 11:
Now, form a loop with one end of your leather cord that will slip over your button. Hold or mark the spot where the loop will close. |
| STEP 12:
Wire wrap closed the loop with your 18 gauge wire, and trim. |
| STEP 13:
On the opposite side of the leather cord, attach the end crimp to the cord. |
| STEP 14:
Attach a jumpring through the end crimp and the small loop of the strung wire. If you want, you can add some dangles from this jumpring as well to balance th button, or leave it plain. Attach a dangle to the bottom loop of your sunface pendant as well. |
|
STEP 15:
Loop the cord over the button, and your necklace is complete. |
